"It seems like just yesterday we were working on the first Ridgewood Guild Film Festival. And now, here we are preparing for festival #8!  We have grown leaps and bounds from a 2 night festival to a 6 night International Festival, accepting films from over 30 countries.  We now celebrate film throughout town, at The Ridgewood Public Library, The Unitarian Church, and our home base, Bow Tie Cinema. The festival celebrates film in a broad number of genres. Short subjects, documentaries, student films, music videos, animation, commercials, web series, and new this year, digital shorts, all of which are entered into the festival. Over 70 films are viewed and critiqued by a viewing committee before our selections are made. The films are then judged by industry professionals who choose the “Best in Film.”  The Ridgewood Public library focuses on a series of foreign films, and this year we are launching a series of Human Rights films chosen by the Unitarian Church.  A Launch Party opens the festival and we close with an After Party including an Awards Ceremony. Each night at Bow Tie we host a star-studded Red Carpet Ceremony. This is a festival that has something for everyone. So if you are a seasoned professional, or just starting out, The Ridgewood Guild’s international Film Festival is one you won’t want to miss."
